Welcome to Papier et Cie, or paper and co.!

I am not going to say that choosing a name for my very own virtual space in the world-wide web wasn’t daunting. It was. After a few days brainstorming and thoughtful analysis, it suddenly hit me, paper and stationery. I love the art of paper making, paper decorating, crafting and typing fresh ink onto paper – to be read as using a typewriter – and for you that do not know what a typewriter is, watch out for a future post on this particular writing tool.

Today the stationery market is vast, but back when I was a child you would walk into a paper store and feel that scent of paper, ink on paper. This my friend, is one of the most vivid memories I have from my childhood. Yep, it certainly is walking into my neighborhood paper store in Brazil or a Barnes & Nobles in the United States, strolling into the Boston Public Library on a Saturday afternoon, and just basking in that deep warm scent. Wherever  I dig into inside my head, thinking of things that move me, that make the hair on the back of my neck stand up – I always find myself in a scenario that involves a book, or me writing stories and thoughts. It has always been there, I just never saw it as something to pursue until now.

But not only to explore the territory of the creative arts was this blog created. I want Papier et Cie to serve as a blank page to be filled with amazing stories, ideas and inspirational content. This space is for me to share my passions with friends and family, to give back from my experiences and what I learned and am still learning along the way. Ideas are powerful and I want Paper et Cie to be a breeding ground for ideas, small and big, and to encourage others to follow their dreams.

I would love to hear feedback from you! Contact me by e-mail: papieretcie.blog@gmail.com
